On the Rooftops for a Fast-Growing Company
How Wave C connected a fast-growing company's antennas and offices across Corda Campus — acting as an advisor, not just a supplier of its own network.
The Challenge
A technology company grew rapidly in recent years into a player with several offices spread across Corda Campus. For the development and testing of their products, multiple antennas are set up across the campus, each in a different spot and sometimes on a rooftop. All of those antennas needed to be connected to the client's network, and the various offices needed to be linked to each other — sometimes on short notice. For a fast-growing company, keeping a separate subscription and a separate supplier for every new location was not an option.
The Solution
Wave C mainly acted as an advisor here: for every location, the most suitable connectivity solution was worked out together with the client, rather than automatically pushing its own offering everywhere. Data from every location is transported over the Campus Connect network, the fiber infrastructure Wave C itself operates on Corda Campus. Where needed, Wave C climbed onto rooftops itself to connect antennas, and infrastructure works were carried out or coordinated with third parties to get every location up and running in time. Because the client wanted to treat its offices and antennas as one coherent network — not as separate connections per location — Wave C built a private LAN over its own network, without requiring a separate subscription per office.
The Result
All of the client's antennas and offices are now connected through a single private network over the Campus Connect backbone, as if it were one local network — regardless of how spread out the locations physically are across the campus. As the company keeps growing and a new location or antenna is added, it can be connected quickly, because Wave C is present on Corda Campus itself. Urgent connections between offices could be delivered on short notice as a result, without waiting on the lead times of external operators.
